Whether you are part of an alumni chapter or colony, are an active alumni-at-large (AAL) or would like to be, I am announcing that my choice of special alumni project for 2012 is to concentrate service on Project IMPACT areas. Information on Service to Youth with Disabilities and Diabetes Prevention and Awareness can be found on the Service section of the national website at www.gammasigmasigma.org. More specialized information or questions can be obtained from our Service Director, Tracy Kolodziek, at service@gammasigmasigma.org. Alumni chapters and colonies will report their hours on their Service Report forms and alumni-at-large are encouraged to download the AAL Service Report from our website. Any questions can be directed to the Alumni Director at alumni@gammasigmasigma.org.
I would also like to encourage all alumni members to register to attend one of the four remaining Leadership Conferences. I just returned from attending the first one in Bowling Green, Kentucky. I had a great time visiting with approximately 90 attendees from three different districts. I also learned a lot about myself and about the sorority. Karen Kerr, the Program Director, put together a great agenda full of informative workshops, as well as lots of fun.
